Paid Surveys eligibility

In the recent times I've received several emails where people ask questions about eligibility like:

  • I live in a small town can I undertake surveys profitably
  • Are people living outside US eligible for paid surveys
  • How do I know I am eligible for a survey
And there are lots of similar questions mostly regrading someones eligibility of taking online surveys that are paid.

Online money making schemes like paid online surveys, mystery shopping jobs are mostly offered to targeted people. Also please note that more that 85% of these opportunities are in developed nations like US, Canada, Europe and Australia. In other parts of world they are on a very small scale or simply don't exist.

Listed below are some eligibility criteria that are mostly common no matter which survey company you join on which part of the globe you are located:

  • If you live in a rural area 30% chances are that you will not be eligible for all the paid surveys. Potential is limited ofr rural area. A person in the urban areas will get more surveys for sure.
  • In case you are not living in US, Canada, UK or Australia then you can take surveys and it can be fun but amount of money you make will be limited and negligible as compared to the developed nations.
  • If you work in a marketing/PR field you may not get a survey at all.
  • People with incomplete profiles may not get significant amount of surveys.
So one thing here you should take care is that join as much survey companies as you can and also at all the companies you join post a complete profile.
